Study Philippians 3:1-14 in which we are reminded to be wary of a common trap and to press on towards Christ. All too often, in the pursuit to follow Jesus we can lose sight of why we needed Him in the first place. When we first become Christians we accept Jesus’ amazing Grace, but as we go through the hardships of life, our spiritual journey becomes encapsulated with self-righteousness and pride. In Philippians 3:1-14, Paul warns the church against falling into this trap. We need to forget the old ways in which we used to define our self worth and press forward in glorifying Jesus by accepting His grace.
