Nehemiah 6 focuses once again on the wall building and the opposition Nehemiah faced. The wall is nearly finished and so Sanballat and co ramp up their efforts in order to try and prevent the project from being completed. Under intense pressure, Nehemiah’s peace, faith and discernment are on display for us to learn from and ask God for. When the wall is completed (in an astonishing 52 days) we are reminded that their success was because it is God project, which explains how despite everything they have thrown at Nehemiah and the people, Sanballat and co have ultimately been up against God. And when God moves, no one can stop him.
