Daniel and Stephanie Englehart joined our worshipping, missional community for 2015 for a yearlong Church Planting Apprenticeship before being sent out in January to launch a church in Des Moines, WA. We are committed to participating in God’s work to magnify and multiply His gospel by raising up, equipping, sending and supporting other gospel-centered church plants.

The last 5 months have been a whirlwind of busyness, struggle, and true joy. We were so blessed to be commissioned and prayed over by 3 local churches in January, as we set out with our team to begin planting The Mountain Church. In February, we began our first Gospel Community and started our first Sunday Gathering as a body, going over our core values. In March, we celebrated the multiplication of our first Gospel Community into a second (praise God, we’re growing)! As we studied basic implications of the gospel and how they apply to our lives, the lives began to change. New people came in, and old hearts began to be stirred! On Easter, we celebrated the ‘win’ of multiplying, and signed membership covenants as we took communion together for the first time! Throughout the last 8 weeks, our living room has become more crowded than ever, as we’ve learned how to show the gospel in tangible ways and witness in community. The older kiddos have been coming downstairs to hear stories of redemption, and everyone else has been trying to find a folding chair, or a spot on the floor! Now, we have officially outgrown our home, so we’re excited to announce that we will be moving our Sunday Gatherings to Highline College to accommodate more people, and begin our first Kid’s Ministry! We will continue our core team development at Highline College, with the goal of hosting preview services in the near future. We have been so blessed by the people that God has brought into The Mountain Church, and we are so excited to see them in action, as we serve our community together. Please be in prayer that the we would remain united in our vision and mission, that we would continue to engage the lostness around us, as we seek to live selflessly in this new body of believers. We are so thankful for the partnership we have with The Hallows. Thank you for serving us, allowing us graciously into your community, and for your continued partnership in the gospel! We have been so blessed by you all!
