We continue in our series “The Gospel of Luke: A Story for Sinners and Sufferers” with today’s Scripture focus (Luke 4:14-30). See that Jesus went to the town he was brought up, and though it starts with “all speaking well of him,” it ends with the same people wanting to hurl him off a cliff. What happened? What did Jesus do? Join us as we consider today: how could Jesus be anointed yet rejected? What was Jesus’ mission and ministry? Was Jesus’ mission and ministry accomplished, especially if He was often rejected back then and still today?
